The Blackford History Group have launched their book on the history of =
Blackford, Westham and Stoughton. The book which is about 140 pages long =
should be published in November. The book arises from an exhibition in =
the Village Hall eighteen months ago and is not intended as a =
comprehensive history of the area. Some of the topics covered are; a =
timeline of Blackford history, farming and other industries, the church =
and schools, the hamlets of Westham and Stoughton, Poplar Farm, the =
Ducketts in Blackford, views of the village, sports and pastimes, the =
cottagers of Cotton Street (Wells Way), emigration, world wars 1&2 and =
the 1968 floods. Some of the material is from unpublished letters and =
diaries and there will be an extensive collection of black and white =
photographs from the late nineteenth century to the present day.

Hi Matthew
Your email address bounced back for me. Are there any mentions of the Baker

Cheers

Hello Barbara,
FEAR
Looking back over previous messages did you ever post the photograph of the
Fear gravemarker at Fosterville Cem on the net. These folk are part of my
family tree and would be interested in hearing.
Regards
Parry
